My Sculpture: Trapped in the Mirage of Existence
In this figure, a crouched figure within the eye socket of the skull symbolizes the human consciousness. The layers of the skull anatomy and the soul trapped beneath the layers stands as a metaphor, critiquing the deceptive nature of physical appearances. Thus, the artwork invites its audience for a contemplation on the illusion internal vulnerabilities hidden by external facades.

Artist Response of René Magritte

This is a digital artwork that reflects upon René Magrittes "Golconda". To replicate the symbolic element of rows of men in Golconda, I used pictures of sculpture that were taken from different angles.  To imitate the layered texture of Magritte’s painting, I used filters on different elements of the picture to create depth. For instance, I used a slow burn on my second layer to create a brownish fog on top of the layer.

Ceramics Painting

This is a photo of my first ceramics painting from December 2023. Though I had initially started by ceramics and pottery, I also started painting on ceramics so that my parents could have kitchenware with my paintings.

Dorm Mural of Banksy's "Balloon Girl"

This is a photo of my mural in my dormitory from May 2022, drawn after our headmistress had encouraged us to paint on corridor walls to brighten the dorm atmosphere, that's still kept to this day despite multiple renovations.

Jewellery Crafting

This is my latest jewellery piece that I have crafted.
Inspired by the beauty of nature, the ring captures the roughness of wood barks and twigs, as well as the angular facade of stones.
Through its raw texture, this ring embraces authentic beauty found in imperfection - just like nature does.

Conceptual Art: Verbal Daggers

Through this piece, I wanted to portray how words are like daggers to people's heart, creating a permanent wound like a nail.

By utilizing various hardware, such as nails and bolts, I symbolized the brutal nature and the heavy impact of hurtful words.

Through surrounding the mouth with connected nails, I represented how negative comments can stifle one's voice, constraining individuals from speaking up.

Sketching

The following examples of my digital and perspective sketches showcase my creative and exploratory process.

Sketching provides me with the freedom to explore ideas without the pressure of  producing a finalized painting, allowing my intuition to guide me.
